Winter Arc Privacy Policy

Effective date: 31 August 2026

Winter Arc is published by Moonshot Media Limited, registered in Ireland (CRO 813696). This policy explains what happens to your information. The short version: it stays with you.

What we collect

Nothing. Winter Arc has no accounts, no sign-up, no login and no analytics of our own. We do not operate a server that your data goes to, and we never see your arc, your rules, your check-ins, your journal or your photos.

What the App stores, and where

Everything you enter is written to a database on your device: the arc you created, the rules you wrote, which rules you completed on which day, your streak shields, your bosses, your journal lines and your progress photos.

If you are signed in to iCloud, that database is also synced to your own private iCloud database, so your arc survives a reinstall and appears on your other devices. That is your iCloud account, governed by Apple’s privacy policy. We have no access to it. Progress photos are stored as files on your device and sync the same way.

Your preferences, such as your reminder time and which theme you chose, are stored on the device only.

Photos and the camera

Winter Arc asks for photo access only when you choose to add a progress photo, and only then. Photos you add stay on your device and in your private iCloud. They are never uploaded to us or to anyone else, and they are only ever shared if you tap share yourself.

Notifications

Reminders are scheduled locally on your device by the App. They are not push notifications, nothing is sent from a server, and no notification content leaves your phone. You can turn any of them off in Settings inside the App.

The on-device recap

Where your device supports Apple Intelligence, the weekly camp recap is written by Apple’s on-device language model. Your data is not sent anywhere for this: the model runs on your device. On devices that do not support it, the recap is written from a template instead. Either way, nothing is transmitted.

Purchases

Purchases are handled entirely by Apple. We never see your payment details. The App asks Apple whether a purchase is active on your Apple Account; that is the only purchase information it has.

What Apple collects

Apple provides us with aggregate, anonymous App Store statistics such as downloads and crash reports. We cannot identify anyone from them. See Apple’s privacy policy for what Apple collects when you use the App Store.

Children

Winter Arc is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone. Since we collect nothing at all, there is nothing about a child for us to hold.

Your rights

Because we hold no data about you, there is nothing for us to give you, correct or delete. Everything is in your hands: export it from Settings inside the App at any time, and delete it by deleting the App and removing its data from iCloud in Settings › your name › iCloud › Manage Storage.

Changes

If this policy changes, the effective date above will change with it.
